The Supreme Court of Kenya has dismissed the petition rejecting Ruto’s win. Through unanimous agreement, the seven supreme court have agreed to dismiss the petition.

5th September 2022 is a big day for William Ruto. Ruto won the petition raised to the supreme court by Raila Odinga. Ruto who was represented by a bunch of lawyers led by Githu Muigai have done a recommendable job. The petition which mainly targeted the credibility of IEBC.
Raila lawyers led by Philip Mugor and James Orengo have showed their disappointments of the court judgment. They have said that they accept court decision but do not agree with the findings. Raila Odinga is yet to speak. Martha Karua, the running mate to Raila has twitted that she accept the court verdict. Karua has also asked her supporters to remain calm and accept the judgment.
“The court has spoken. I respect but disagree with the findings .”
COTU leader, Francis Atwoli has taken to social media to congratulate the president elect.
“During COTU (K) Executive Board meeting on 17th August, we resolved THAT immediately after the Supreme Court judgement, we must thank and congratulate the victor. Consequently, we congratulate President William Ruto. We appeal to workers and Kenyans in general to remain peaceful.”
