As much as we love this guy, there is a major thing that will prevent him from winning.
George R. Wajackoyah also known as Wajackoyah the 5th is a Kenyan professor and acclaimed lawyer running for presidential seat. The candidate is standing against the former prime minister and current vice president, Raila Odinga and William Ruto.
However, as much as we are celebrating and supporting the fella, he will not win. Wajackoyah made a huge mistake with the timing of his intent to bid for presidency. He announced his bid weeks after the closure for voters registration. In other words, he publicized his candidacy late.
Wajackoyah’s manifestos are exciting to most youths who would like to vote him in. Unfortunately, most youths did not register for the voting. The candidate’s supporters are now wondering why he did not announce his bid early enough for them to register as voters.
Why Not Registered?
Most Kenyan youths especially those between 20 and 30 have lost faith in Kenyan politics. Ideally, no matter who is elected in Kenya, not much changes in their favor. The younger generation had therefore lost hope in the need to vote.
Wajackoyah then introduced thrilling manifestos such as legalizing marijuana, snake farming, and uprooting of the corrupt. Such agendas made the youths want to vote but it is too late.
I know you will say, Can’t they vote with their IDs? Let me inform you. Most of the IEBC invalid votes are often those acquired using ID cards. Therefore, the right move for the 5th would have been to publicize his candidacy before the end of voters’ registration period.
